Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, National Water Operations Initial Minor Flood Warning For The Huon River Issued at 03:38 AM AEST on Thursday 04 June 2026 Flood Warning Number: 1 MINOR FLOODING LIKELY AT TAHUNE BRIDGE FROM MID-MORNING THURSDAY Areas of moderate rainfall have been recorded over parts of the Huon River catchment since Wednesday evening. Further showers are expected for the remainder of Thursday. River level rises are occurring across parts of the catchment, with minor flooding likely at Tahune Bridge from mid-morning Thursday. Huon River - Tahune to Judbury: Minor flooding is likely along the Huon River - Tahune to Judbury. The Huon River at Tahune Bridge is currently at 1.80 m and rising, below the minor flood level. With forecast rainfall, the Huon River at Tahune Bridge is likely to exceed the minor flood level (4.00 m) from mid-morning Thursday. Flood Safety Advice: Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous. Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways. Obey road closure signs.
