Seek a place to keep cool, such as your home, a library, community centre or shopping centre. Close your windows and draw blinds, curtains or awnings early in the day to keep the heat out of your home. If available, use fans or air-conditioners to keep cool. Maximum temperatures in the low thirties to high thirties from Wednesday, reaching the low forties about northern districts on Thursday. Overnight minimum temperatures in the mid to high teens, reaching around twenty about the northern districts from Thursday. Severe heatwave conditions are developing and are expected to peak on Thursday and Friday before easing from the south during Friday and Saturday as milder southeast to southwesterly winds extend across the State. Locations likely to be impacted include Albury-Wodonga, Bendigo, Bright, Corryong, Omeo, Echuca, Mansfield, Shepparton, Seymour, Wangaratta and Yarrawonga.
