Cancellation Of Severe Weather Warning
for Metropolitan, Illawarra and South Coast Forecast Districts.

Winds have eased over coastal areas of southern NSW.
Weather Situation
A vigorous coastal low over the southern Tasman Sea has moved further to the east. This has led to an easing of severe conditions over New South Wales.
cancellation of severe weather warning for the following areas:
Metropolitan, Illawarra and South Coast
This warning is now cancelled.
A 115 km/h wind gust was recorded at Point Perpendicular (near Jervis Bay) at 4:23 pm.
A 119 km/h wind gust was recorded more recently at Montague Island Lighthouse at 4:23 pm.
A 130 km/h wind gust was recorded at Montague Island Lighthouse at 1:53 pm.
A 118 km/h wind gust was recorded at Green Cape at 11:41 am.
A 118 km/h wind gust was recorded at Mallacoota (Victoria) at 10:07 am.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Keep clear of fallen power lines.
* Don't walk, ride or drive through flood water.
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
* Beware of fallen trees or debris on the road.
