Severe thunderstorms are no longer affecting Canberra and Queanbeyan. This warning is now cancelled.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Keep clear of fallen power lines.
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
* Don't walk, ride your bike or drive through flood water.
* Beware of fallen trees or debris on the road.

A more general severe thunderstorm warning remains current for the South West Slopes, Australian Capital Territory and parts of the Southern Tablelands, Snowy Mountains, Central Tablelands and Central West Slopes and Plains districts.
