South Coast
Cancellation for the following areas:
Snowy Mountains, Hunter, Riverina, Southern Tablelands, Central West Slopes and Plains, Central Tablelands, Mid North Coast, Illawarra, South West Slopes and Metropolitan
Safety Advice:
Severe heatwaves can be dangerous for many people, especially older people, babies, children, pregnant and breastfeeding women, people with medical conditions and people who are unwell.
Seek a place to keep cool, such as your home, a library, community centre or shopping centre.
Close your windows and draw blinds, curtains or awnings early in the day to keep the heat out of your home.
If available, use fans or air-conditioners to keep cool.
Maximum temperatures in the mid to high twenties in eastern parts of the State, increasing into the thirties for western parts. Overnight minimum temperatures in the low teens to high teens across the State.
Severe Heatwave conditions have eased over most of the State, with conditions further easing over the coming days. Low Intensity Heatwave conditions remain over parts of the State into mid week. Locations likely to be impacted include Batemans Bay and Bega.
