Weather Situation The vigorous cold front has moved east in the Tasman Sea away from the island, allowing windy conditions to ease. Damaging wind conditions have eased. ## The Lord Howe Island Police advise you: Move your car under cover or away from trees. Secure loose outdoor items. Seek shelter, preferably indoors and never under trees. Beware of fallen trees and powerlines. For emergency help in floods and storms, ring the Lord Howe Island Police on (02) 6563 2199. No further warnings will be issued for this event. This warning is also available through TV and Radio broadcasts; the Bureau's website at www.bom.gov.au or call 1300 659 210. The Bureau and State Emergency Service would appreciate this warning being broadcast regularly.
