MINOR FLOODING IS POSSIBLE AT BORROLOOLA FROM LATE MONDAY AFTERNOON
Rainfall over the last week has led to river level rises across the McArthur River catchment, with minor flooding possible at Borroloola from late Monday afternoon.
McArthur River:
Minor flooding is possible along the McArthur River.
The McArthur River at Borroloola is currently at 8.19 m and rising, below the minor flood level and below the deck level of the Bridge.
The McArthur River at Borroloola may reach around the minor flood level (9.00 m) and the deck level of the bridge from late Monday afternoon. The river may peak near 9.10 m overnight Monday into Tuesday, with minor flooding.
Flood Safety Advice:
Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
