MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT THARGOMINDAH
Rainfall across the Bulloo River catchment during last week has resulted in river level rises along the Bulloo River. A peak near the moderate flood level was observed at Thargomindah during Tuesday morning, where river levels are currently above the minor flood level and falling.
Bulloo River downstream of Quilpie:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Bulloo River at Thargomindah.
The Bulloo River at Thargomindah peaked around 4.45 m during Tuesday morning, just below the moderate flood level (4.50 m). The river level was last observed at 4.37 m and falling at 07:50 am Wednesday, with minor flooding.
The Bulloo River at Thargomindah may remain above the minor flood level (4.00 m) for the remainder of Wednesday and into Thursday.
Flood Safety Advice:
Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
