MINOR FLOODING LIKELY AT QUILPIE
Isolated thunderstorms overnight Thursday into Friday have caused river level rises along the Bulloo River. A near minor peak has occurred at Quilpie during Friday morning, however, river rises are continuing upstream around Milroy which is likely to lead to a second peak downstream at Quilpie later this evening.
Bulloo River to Quilpie:
Minor flooding is likely along the Bulloo River to Quilpie.
The Bulloo River at Quilpie is currently at 2.94 m and falling, near the minor flood level.
The Bulloo River at Quilpie is likely to exceed the minor flood level (3.00 m) Friday afternoon. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive which may cause the river level to peak near 3.20 m Friday evening, with minor flooding.

Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
