Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, National Water Operations Final Flood Warning For The Nerang And Coomera Rivers Issued at 10:36 AM AEST on Tuesday 19 May 2026 Flood Warning Number: 4 RAINFALL EASING DURING TUESDAY AND CLEARING OFFSHORE BY EVENING, NO FURTHER FLOODING EXPECTED Moderate to heavy rainfall was observed across the Nerang and Coomera catchments since Sunday night. This caused elevated river and creek levels and areas of minor to moderate flooding. River and creek levels are now below the minor flood level throughout the catchments. Rainfall amounts during Tuesday are expected to be much lighter than previous days, and rainfall is forecast to clear offshore later this afternoon and evening. No significant further river or creek level rises are expected. Pimpama and Coomera Rivers: River and creek levels are elevated but generally easing. No further flooding is expected along the Pimpama and Coomera Rivers. Nerang River: River and creek levels are elevated but generally easing. No further flooding is expected along the Nerang River. Mudgeeraba Creek: River and creek levels are elevated but generally easing. No further flooding is expected along Mudgeeraba Creek. Tallebudgera and Currumbin Creeks: River and creek levels are elevated but generally easing. No further flooding is expected along Tallebudgera and Currumbin Creeks. Flood Safety Advice: Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous. Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways. Obey road closure signs.
