The flood peak is now past South Comongin and will approach Autumnvale and Thargomindah over the weekend and into early next week. Minor flooding is possible at Thargomindah from about Friday and moderate flooding is possible over the weekend, with a moderate flood peak possible from Monday 9 November. Bulloo River to Quilpie: Minor flooding is easing along the Bulloo River at Quilpie. The Bulloo River at Quilpie is currently at 3.28 m and falling, with minor flooding. The Bulloo River at Quilpie may fall below the minor flood level (3.00 m) Wednesday evening. Bulloo River downstream of Quilpie: Moderate flooding is possible along the Bulloo River downstream of Quilpie. The Bulloo River at Thargomindah is currently at 3.60 m and steady, below the minor flood level. The Bulloo River at Thargomindah may exceed the minor flood level (4.00 m) from about Friday, and may exceed the moderate flood level (4.50 m) over the weekend. The river may peak above the moderate flood level (4.50 m) from Monday 9 November. Forecasts will be refined as upstream peaks are observed.
