Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, National Water Operations Moderate Flood Warning For Eyre Creek Issued at 12:40 PM AEST on Friday 06 February 2026 Flood Warning Number: 30 MODERATE FLOODING TO CONTINUE AT BEDOURIE AND GLENGYLE INTO NEXT WEEK The flood peak along Eyre Creek is slowly approaching Bedourie. Downstream at Glengyle, moderate flooding is also continuing to rise slowly. River level rises are expected to continue into next week. Showers and thunderstorms are possible over parts of the catchment for the next few days, however, this is not expected to have a significant impact on river levels. Eyre Creek: Moderate flooding is occurring along Eyre Creek. Minor flooding is occurring along King Creek at Cluny. The Eyre Creek at Bedourie is currently at 4.26 m and rising, with moderate flooding. The Eyre Creek at Bedourie is expected to remain above the moderate flood level (4.00 m) into next week. At 9 am Thursday, the river level along Eyre Creek at Glengyle was observed at 3.20 m and rising, with moderate flooding. The Eyre Creek at Glengyle is expected to remain above the moderate flood level (3.00 m) into next week. Flood Safety Advice: Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous. Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways. Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads. Check the ABC and local media for updates.
