Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology South Australia TOP PRIORITY FOR IMMEDIATE BROADCAST Severe Weather Warning for Damaging Winds for parts of Mount Lofty Ranges, Flinders, Mid North, Murraylands and North East Pastoral districts. Issued at 10:48 am Tuesday, 2 June 2026. Damaging wind gusts continuing for the Mount Lofty and Flinders Ranges today. Weather Situation Damaging westerly wind gusts are forecast to continue for the Mt Lofty and Flinders ranges during Tuesday, as a deep low continues to create a pressure squeeze as it moves over Tasmania. DAMAGING WINDS for the following areas: Mount Lofty Ranges, Flinders, Mid North, Murraylands and North East Pastoral For the MOUNT LOFTY and FLINDERS RANGES: DAMAGING WESTERLY WIND GUSTS with peak gusts of around 90 km/h are likely today, easing later this evening. A separate warning for ABNORMALLY HIGH TIDES is also current for parts of the coast. Severe weather is no longer occurring in the West Coast district and the warning for this district is CANCELLED. Cancellation for the following areas: West Coast The State Emergency Service advises that people should: * Move vehicles under cover or away from trees; * Secure or put away loose items around your property. * Stay indoors, away from windows, while conditions are severe.
