Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, National Water Operations Initial Minor Flood Warning For The North Esk River Issued at 02:57 PM AEST on Tuesday 30 June 2026 Flood Warning Number: 1 MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT CORRA LINN OVERNIGHT TUESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY Since Tuesday morning, moderate rainfall totals have been observed over parts of the North Esk River catchment. Further moderate rainfall is forecast for the remainder of Tuesday, which is likely to cause river level rises. Minor flooding is possible at Corra Linn from overnight Tuesday into Wednesday with forecast rainfall. Rainfall is forecast for the remainder of the week which may result in further river level rises. Lower North Esk River around Corra Linn: Minor flooding is possible along the North Esk River at Corra Linn. The North Esk River at Corra Linn is currently at 1.66 m and steady, below the minor flood level. The North Esk River at Corra Linn may reach around the minor flood level (2.70 m) overnight Tuesday into Wednesday. Further rises are possible with forecast rainfall. Flood Safety Advice: Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous. Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways. Obey road closure signs.
