Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, National Water Operations Final Flood Warning For The Mersey River Issued at 09:50 AM AEST on Saturday 20 June 2026 Flood Warning Number: 3 FLOODING NO LONGER OCCURRING AT KIMBERLEY The Mersey River at Kimberley fell below the minor flood level during Friday morning. Rainfall has eased and no further significant rainfall is expected over the next few days. Flooding is no longer expected along the Mersey River, Mersey River - Liena to Kimberley: Flooding is no longer occurring along the Mersey River at Kimberley. The Mersey River at Kimberley peaked at 2.52 m around 09:45 am Friday, with minor flooding. The river is currently at 1.92 m and steady, below the minor flood level (2.40 m). The Mersey River at Kimberley will remain below the minor flood level. Flood Safety Advice: Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous. Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways. Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads. Check the ABC and local media for updates.
