Weather Situation A cold front traversed Tasmania that when combined with an upper-level trough and high atmospheric moisture generated severe thunderstorms with heavy rainfall over parts of northeast Tasmania today. Further showers and isolated thunderstorms remain possible for eastern parts of Tasmania for an hour or two this evening. 87.2 MM OF RAINFALL WAS RECORDED AT LLEWELLYN IN THE 3 HOURS TO 7:14 PM.
