MODERATE FLOODING OCCURRING AT LODDON WEIR AND MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT LAANECOORIE RESERVOIR (TW), RENEWED MINOR FLOODING LIKELY AT APPIN WEIR FROM SUNDAY.
Rainfall early last week has resulted in a second flood peak that is now downstream of Serpentine Weir and approaching Loddon Weir. Moderate flooding is occurring at Loddon Weir and minor flooding is slowly easing at Laanecoorie Reservoir.
Further downstream, the first flood peak from rainfall last week has passed through Appin South, where river levels have fallen below the minor flood level. Renewed river levels rises are likely at Appin South over the weekend and into next week as the second flood peak arrives. River level rises are occurring at Kerang, with a flood peak below the minor flood level likely over the weekend.
Loddon River Laanecoorie to Loddon Weir:
Minor flooding is occurring at Laanecoorie Reservoir (TW).
The Loddon River at Laanecoorie Reservior (TW) is currently at 1.62 m and falling slowly, with minor flooding.
The Loddon River at Laanecoorie Reservior (TW) may fall below the minor flood level (1.50 m) overnight Saturday into Sunday.
Loddon River Loddon Weir to Kerang:
Moderate flooding is occurring at Loddon Weir (TW). Renewed minor flooding likely at Appin South from Sunday.
The Loddon River at Appin South is currently at 2.78 m and falling, below the minor flood level.
Renewed river level rises are likely along the Loddon River at Appin South with river levels is likely to exceed the minor flood level (2.80 m) during Sunday with the arrival of the second flood peak.
