Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, National Water Operations Minor Flood Warning For The Kiewa River Issued at 11:27 AM AEST on Wednesday 19 August 2026 Flood Warning Number: 12 RENEWED MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT BANDIANA FROM THURSDAY MORNING Minor flooding has eased along the Kiewa River at Bandiana, however river levels remain elevated along the Kiewa River. Rain is forecast to continue through Wednesday and Thursday, which is likely to cause renewed river level rises. Kiewa River downstream of Mongans Bridge: Renewed minor flooding is possible along the Kiewa River at Bandiana. The Kiewa River at Bandiana is currently at 2.49 m and steady, below the minor flood level. The Kiewa River at Bandiana may reach around the minor flood level (2.80 m) Thursday morning. Further rises are possible with forecast rain. Flood Safety Advice: Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous. Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways. Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads. Check the ABC and local media for updates.
