Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, National Water Operations Minor Flood Warning For The Kiewa River Issued at 11:19 AM AEST on Thursday 27 August 2026 Flood Warning Number: 20 MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT BANDIANA AND KIEWA Moderate to locally heavy rainfall across the Kiewa River catchment during Monday night and Tuesday resulted in river level rises and areas of renewed minor flooding. Minor flooding is continuing along the Kiewa River at Bandiana and Kiewa. Kiewa River downstream of Mongans Bridge: Minor flooding is occurring along the Kiewa River at Bandiana and Kiewa. The Kiewa River Channel at Kiewa is currently at 3.35 m and steady, with minor flooding. The Kiewa River Channel at Kiewa is likely to remain above the minor flood level (3.30 m) through to Friday morning. The Kiewa River at Bandiana is currently at 2.92 m and steady, with minor flooding. The Kiewa River at Bandiana is expected to remain above the minor flood level (2.80 m) through to Friday morning. Flood Safety Advice: Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous. Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways. Obey road closure signs.
