Minor Flood Warning For The Goulburn River

RENEWED MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT SEYMOUR WEDNESDAY EVENING
Moderate rainfall since Monday has caused river and creek level rises in the Goulburn River catchment. Widespread rainfall is forecast to continue through to Friday, which is likely to result in further and renewed rises and areas of flooding across the Goulburn River catchment.
A Flood Watch is current for Parts of North East and Central Victoria.
Yea River:
Minor flooding may occur along the Yea River late Wednesday afternoon.
King Parrot Creek:
River levels are elevated along the King Parrot Creek.
Sunday Creek:
River levels are elevated along the Sunday Creek.
Goulburn River Lake Eildon to Seymour:
Renewed minor flooding is likely along the Goulburn River at Seymour.
The Goulburn River at Seymour peaked at 4.97 m around 01:15 am Wednesday 1 July, with minor flooding. The river is currently at 3.31 m and falling, below the minor flood level.
Renewed rises to the minor flood level (3.80 m) are possible Wednesday evening, with forecast rainfall.
Hughes Creek:
River levels fell below the minor flood level at Tarcombe Rd Wednesday morning. River levels remain elevated along the Hughes Creek.

Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
