Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, National Water Operations Final Flood Warning For The Mitta Mitta River Issued at 01:45 PM AEST on Thursday 02 July 2026 Flood Warning Number: 2 FLOODING HAS EASED ALONG TALLANGATTA CREEK AT MCCALLUMS Minor flooding has eased along Tallangatta Creek at McCallums. Further rainfall is forecast for the remainder of Thursday and Friday, which may result in renewed river level rises. A Flood Watch is current for parts of Gippsland, North East and Central Victoria. Tallangatta Creek: Flooding is no longer occurring at McCallums. Flood Safety Advice: Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous. Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways. Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads. Check the ABC and local media for updates.
