A severe Weather Warning for heavy rainfall is current for East Gippsland Snowy River downstream of McKillops Bridge: Minor flooding possible along the Snowy River downstream of McKillops Bridge. The Snowy River at Basin Creek is currently at 2.04 m and steady, below the minor flood level. The Snowy River at Basin Creek may exceed the minor flood level (3.50 m) Friday morning, with forecast rainfall. Further rises are possible. Flood Safety Advice: Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous. Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways. Obey road closure signs.
