MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT CHARLTON TOWN
MINOR FLOODING MAY DEVELOP AT QUAMBATOOK FROM TUESDAY MORNING
Minor flooding is continuing but slowly easing along the Avoca River at Charlton Town. Flooding is no longer occurring at Charlton (Downstream). The flood peak is now moving downstream towards Quambatook, where minor flooding may develop from Tuesday morning.
Rain is forecast from late Monday into Tuesday, which may cause renewed river level rises across the Avoca River catchment.
A Flood Watch is current for parts of North West, Central and North East Victoria.
Avoca River to Charlton Town:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Avoca River at Charlton Town.
The Avoca River at Charlton Town is currently at 4.20 m and steady, with minor flooding.
The Avoca River at Charlton Town may remain around the minor flood level (4.00 m) into Tuesday. Renewed rises are possible with forecast rain.
Avoca River downstream of Charlton Town:
Minor flooding may develop along the Avoca River at Quambatook.
The Avoca River at Quambatook is currently at 1.41 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Avoca River at Quambatook may exceed the minor flood level (2.00 m) from Tuesday morning. Further rises are possible with forecast rain.
