MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT CHARLTON TOWN
MINOR FLOODING LIKELY AT QUAMBATOOK FROM TUESDAY AFTERNOON
Minor flooding is continuing at Charlton Town. The flood peak is moving downstream towards Quambatook, where minor flooding is likely to develop from Tuesday afternoon.
Since Monday evening, light to moderate rainfall has been observed across the Avoca River catchment and may result in further river level rises.
A Flood Watch is current for parts of North West, Central and North East Victoria.
Avoca River to Charlton Town:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Avoca River at Charlton Town.
The Avoca River at Charlton Town is currently at 4.01 m and steady, with minor flooding.
The Avoca River at Charlton Town is likely to remain around the minor flood level (4.00 m) until Wednesday afternoon. Further rises are possible.
Avoca River downstream of Charlton Town:
Minor flooding is likely to develop along the Avoca River at Quambatook.
The Avoca River at Quambatook is currently at 1.89 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Avoca River at Quambatook is likely to exceed the minor flood level (2.00 m) Tuesday afternoon. The river may remain above the minor flood level (2.00 m) until Wednesday afternoon. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive.
