Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, National Water Operations Minor Flood Warning For The Kiewa River Issued at 12:38 PM AEST on Tuesday 18 August 2026 Flood Warning Number: 11 RENEWED MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT BANDIANA Minor flooding has eased along the Kiewa River at Bandiana, however river levels remain elevated along the Kiewa River in response to recent rainfall. Further rainfall is forecast across the catchment for the next few days, which may cause renewed river level rises. The situation is being closely monitored and this warning will be updated as necessary. Kiewa River downstream of Mongans Bridge: Minor flooding is possible along the Kiewa River downstream of Mongans Bridge. The Kiewa River at Bandiana is currently at 2.77 m and steady, below the minor flood level. Renewed river level rises to the minor flood level (2.80 m) is possible along the Kiewa River at Bandiana from Wednesday evening. Flood Safety Advice: Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous. Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways. Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads. Check the ABC and local media for updates. The situation can change quickly, so stay informed.
