Issued at 8:08 pm Sunday, 11 October 2026. GIANT HAIL POSSIBLE WITH A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM APPROACHING STRATHALBYN. GIANT HAILSTONES for the following areas: Mount Barker and Western Alexandrina The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 8:10 pm, a VERY DANGEROUS THUNDERSTORM likely to produce large, possibly giant hailstones was detected near Macclesfield. This thunderstorm is moving towards the southeast. It is forecast to affect Strathalbyn by 8:40 pm. 3 cm hailstones were reported at Happy Valley around 7:45 pm Cancellation for the following areas: Onkaparinga,Yankalilla,Victor Harbour The State Emergency Service advises that people should: * Move cars under cover. * Stay indoors, away from windows, while storms are nearby. A more general severe thunderstorm warning is also current for the Adelaide Metropolitan, Mount Lofty Ranges, Mid North and parts of the Riverland, Murraylands, Upper South East, Yorke Peninsula, Flinders and North East Pastoral districts.
