Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, National Water Operations Final Flood Warning For The Huon River Issued at 10:45 AM AEST on Friday 05 June 2026 Flood Warning Number: 4 FLOODING NO LONGER OCCURRING AT TAHUNE BRIDGE, NO LONGER EXPECTED AT JUDBURY AND HUONVILLE River level rises occurred across parts of the Huon River catchment following moderate rainfall late Wednesday into Thursday. A minor flood peak was observed at Tahune Bridge Thursday morning. Flooding is no longer occurring at Tahune Bridge, and is no longer expected at Judbury and Huonville. Huon River - Tahune to Judbury: Minor flooding is no longer occurring at Tahune Bridge and is no longer expected at Judbury. The Huon River at Tahune Bridge peaked at 4.67 m around 11:00 am Thursday 4 June, with minor flooding. The river is currently at 1.51 m and falling, below the minor flood level. The Huon River at Tahune Bridge is expected to remain below the minor flood level (4.00 m). The Huon River at Judbury peaked at 3.95 m around 02:30 pm Thursday 4 June, below the minor flood level. The river is currently at 1.85 m and falling, below the minor flood level. The Huon River at Judbury is expected to remain below the minor flood level (4.00 m). Huon River around Huonville: Minor flooding is no longer expected at Huonville. The Huon River at Huonville peaked at 2.81 m around 04:30 pm Thursday 4 June, below the minor flood level. The river is currently at 1.71 m and rising with the tide, below the minor flood level. The Huon River at Huonville is expected to remain below the minor flood level (3.00 m). Flood Safety Advice: Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous. Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways. Obey road closure signs.
