Minor flooding is occurring along the Lerderderg River at O'Briens Crossing (Downstream of Sardine Creek). Further rainfall is forecast for the remainder of Thursday into Friday, which is likely to result in further rises and minor flooding along the Werribee River at Ballan. Upper Werribee River: Minor flooding is occurring at O'Briens Crossing and may develop at Ballan. The Werribee River at Ballan is currently at 0.95 m and rising, below the minor flood level. The Werribee River at Ballan may exceed the minor flood level (1.60 m) Friday morning. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive. The Lerderderg River at O'Briens Crossing (Downstream of Sardine Creek) is currently at 2.19 m and rising, with minor flooding. The Lerderderg River at O'Briens Crossing (Downstream of Sardine Creek) may remain above the minor flood level (2.10 m) overnight Thursday into Friday. Further rises are possible with forecast rain. Flood Safety Advice: Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous. Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways. Obey road closure signs.
