Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, National Water Operations Minor Flood Warning For The Waterhouse River Issued at 10:46 AM ACST on Thursday 19 March 2026 Flood Warning Number: 3 MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE FROM SATURDAY AT BESWICK BRIDGE River levels along the Waterhouse River at Beswick Bridge are expected to remain below flood levels through to at least Saturday morning. Forecast rain from late Saturday may cause rapid river rises, with the potential for significant flooding from Sunday. The situation will be closely monitored and this warning will be updated as required. Waterhouse River: Rapid river rises may develop along the Waterhouse River at Beswick Bridge from Saturday with forecast rainfall. The Waterhouse River at Beswick Bridge is currently at 6.26 m and falling, below the minor flood level. The Waterhouse River at Beswick Bridge may exceed the minor flood level (7.70 m) overnight Saturday into Sunday. Further rises are possible with forecast rain. Flood Safety Advice: Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous. Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways. Obey road closure signs.
