There is currently major flooding along the Daly River, and forecast rainfall is expected to prolong major flooding and likely cause renewed river level rises. River levels at Daly River Police Station are expected to remain above major flood level for the remainder of Sunday into next week, with renewed level rises likely. The situation will be closely monitored and this warning will be updated as required. A Flood Watch is current for parts of the Top End including the Daly River catchment. A Tropical Cyclone Advice and Severe Weather Warning are also current for parts of the Northern Territory. Daly River above Douglas River: Flooding likely along the Daly River above Douglas River. Fergusson River: Flooding likely along the Fergusson River. Lower Daly River: Prolonged major flooding is continuing along the Daly River with renewed rises likely. The Daly River at Daly River Police Station is currently at 14.27 m and steady, with major flooding. The Daly River at Daly River Police Station is expected to remain above the major flood level (14.00 m) during Sunday. Further rises are likely with forecast rain.
