Further moderate to heavy rainfall is forecast for the next few days, which has the potential to cause minor flooding along the Adelaide River at Adelaide River Town from early Saturday morning. A flood watch is current for parts of the Bonaparte, North West Coastal and Carpentaria Coastal River catchments and a severe weather warning is current for heavy rainfall in the Daly and parts of Arnhem and Carpentaria districts. Upper Adelaide River: Minor flooding is possible along the Adelaide River. The Adelaide River at Adelaide River Town is currently at 6.93 m and rising, below the minor flood level. With forecast rainfall the Adelaide River at Adelaide River Town may reach around the minor flood level (11.50 m) early Saturday morning. Further rises are possible.
