Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, National Water Operations Minor Flood Warning For The Paroo River (Qld) Issued at 02:15 PM AEST on Monday 02 March 2026 Flood Warning Number: 16 RENEWED MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT HUNGERFORD Along the Paroo river the latest flood peak has passed Caiwarro and is approaching Hungerford, where renewed river level rises and minor flooding is occurring. Further rainfall is forecast across the catchment during the next few days, which may lead to additional river level rises. A Minor Flood Warning is current for the Paroo River in NSW. Paroo River downstream of Eulo: Minor flooding is occurring at Hungerford. The Paroo River at Hungerford was at 1.16 m at 6:00 am Monday and rising, with minor flooding. The Paroo River at Hungerford may peak near 1.30 m during Tuesday, with minor flooding. The river may remain above the minor flood level (1.00 m) for the next few days. Flood Safety Advice: Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous. Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways. Obey road closure signs.
