Moderate flooding is possible along Bungil Creek at Roma from Monday evening, with minor to moderate flooding possible along the Balonne River at Warkon and Surat from early this week. Significant river level rises are also occurring along Dogwood Creek. Further rainfall is forecast during Monday but is expected to ease later in the day. The situation is being monitored closely, and this warning will be updated as required. A Flood Watch is current for much of Queensland. Dogwood Creek: Significant river level rises are occurring along Dogwood Creek, with minor to moderate flooding rising at Miles, Gilweir and Pine Hill Crossing. Balonne River to Surat: Minor to moderate flooding is possible along the Balonne River. No observations are currently available for the Balonne River at Warkon. The river level is estimated to be below the minor flood level and rising. The Balonne River at Warkon may exceed the minor flood level (7.00 m) from overnight Monday into Tuesday. The river may reach around the moderate flood level (8.00 m) from Tuesday. Further rises are likely as upstream flows arrive. No observations are currently available for the Balonne River at Surat. Based on the river level at the nearby automatic station, the river level is estimated to be below the minor flood level and steady. The Balonne River at Surat may exceed the minor flood level (5.00 m) during Tuesday. Further rises are expected this week as upstream flows arrive. Bungil Creek: Moderate flooding is possible along Bungil Creek. The Bungil Creek at Roma is currently at 4.92 m and rising, below the minor flood level. The Bungil Creek at Roma is likely to exceed the minor flood level (4.95 m) late Monday morning. The creek may peak near the moderate flood level (5.45 m) from Monday evening.
