River levels upstream of Augathella have risen rapidly in response to this rainfall. Minor flooding is possible at Augathella from Monday afternoon as flood water approaches from upstream, with major flooding possible on Wednesday. Warrego River to Charleville: Major flooding is occurring along the Warrego River at Lochinvar, possible at Augathella. The Warrego River at Augathella is currently at 2.33 m and steady, below the minor flood level. The Warrego River at Augathella is likely to exceed the minor flood level (4.00 m) from Monday afternoon. The river is likely to exceed the moderate flood level (5.00 m) overnight Monday into Tuesday. The river may exceed the major flood level (6.00 m) during Wednesday 11 March. Flood Safety Advice: Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous. Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways. Obey road closure signs.
