Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, National Water Operations Final Flood Warning For The Daintree River Issued at 09:56 AM AEST on Sunday 11 January 2026 Flood Warning Number: 4 FLOODING NO LONGER EXPECTED AT DAINTREE VILLAGE The risk of heavy rainfall has eased for the Daintree River catchment as Tropical Cyclone Koji has moved southward toward the central Queensland coast. Flooding is no longer expected along the Daintree River at Daintree Village. Forecast showers and thunderstorms over the next few days are not expected to significantly affect river levels. Daintree River: Minor flooding is no longer expected along the Daintree River. The Daintree River at Daintree Village is currently at 1.65 m and steady, below the minor flood level. The Daintree River at Daintree Village is expected to remain below the minor flood level (4.00 m). Flood Safety Advice: Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous. Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways. Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads. Check the ABC and local media for updates.
