Minor flooding is possible at Gleneagle and Abergowrie Bridge from Sunday evening. The risk of heavy rainfall has eased for the Herbert River catchment as Tropical Cyclone Koji has moved southward toward the central Queensland coast. Flooding is no longer expected along the Lower Herbert River at Ingham, Gairloch and Halifax. Forecast showers and thunderstorms over the next few days are not expected to significantly affect river levels. Herbert River to Nash's Crossing: Minor flooding is possible along the Herbert River at Gleneagle. No observations are currently available for the Herbert River at Gleneagle Homestead. Based on the nearby automatic gauge, river levels are estimated to be below the minor flood level (4.50 m) and steady. The Herbert River at Gleneagle Homestead may reach around the minor flood level (4.50 m) Sunday evening. Further rises are possible with forecast rain. Herbert River downstream of Nash's Crossing: Minor flooding is possible along the Herbert River at Abergowrie Bridge. The Herbert River at Abergowrie Bridge is currently at 4.62 m and falling, below the minor flood level. The Herbert River at Abergowrie Bridge may reach around the minor flood level (6.00 m) overnight Sunday into Monday. The Herbert River at Ingham Pump Station is currently at 5.14 m and rising, below the minor flood level. The Herbert River at Ingham Pump Station is expected to remain below the minor flood level (10.00 m). The Herbert River at Gairloch is currently at 5.04 m and rising, below the minor flood level. The Herbert River at Gairloch is expected to remain below the minor flood level (9.50 m). The Herbert River at Halifax is currently at 2.26 m and rising, below the minor flood level.
