Minor flooding is occurring along the Moonie River at Nindigully and is likely at Flinton from Tuesday afternoon. Moonie River to Flinton: River levels are elevated and moderate flooding is occurring along the Moonie River at Kinkora. The Moonie River at Flinton Town is currently at 2.78 m and rising slowly, below the minor flood level. The Moonie River at Flinton Town is likely to reach around the minor flood level (3.00 m) Tuesday afternoon. Moonie River downstream of Flinton: Minor flooding is occurring along the Moonie River downstream of Flinton. The Moonie River at Nindigully is currently at 2.25 m and steady, with minor flooding. The Moonie River at Nindigully is likely to remain above the minor flood level (2.20 m) during Tuesday into Wednesday. Flood Safety Advice: Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous. Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways. Obey road closure signs.
