Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, Victoria Minor Flood Warning For The Kiewa River Issued at 11:57 AM EST on Monday 07 September 2026 Flood Warning Number: 4 MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING ALONG THE KIEWA RIVER AT BANDIANA AND AT KIEWA Moderate to heavy rainfall observed across the Kiewa River catchment since Friday and during the weekend has caused river level rises and minor flooding. No further significant rainfall is forecast for the next few days. Kiewa River downstream of Mongans Bridge: Minor flooding is occurring along the Kiewa River downstream of Mongans Bridge. The Kiewa River at Kiewa (Main Stream) is currently peaking around 3.38 metres. The Kiewa River at Kiewa (Main Stream) is likely to remain above the minor flood level (3.30 m) for the next few days. The Kiewa River at Bandiana peaked at 2.96 m around 09:30 am Sunday, with minor flooding. The river is currently at 2.91 metres and steady. The Kiewa River at Bandiana is likely to remain above the minor flood level (2.80 m) for the next few days. Flood Safety Advice: - Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous. - Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways. - Obey road closure signs.
