Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, Victoria Minor Flood Warning For The Ovens And Final Flood Warning For The King River Issued at 10:59 AM EST on Monday 07 September 2026 Flood Warning Number: 3 MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE ALONG THE OVENS RIVER AT WANGARATTA MONDAY AFTERNOON MINOR FLOODING IS ESTIMATED TO HAVE EASED ALONG THE KING RIVER AT DOCKER ROAD BRIDGE The flood peak is now downstream of Docker Road Bridge where minor flooding has eased and is approaching Wangaratta where the peak is possible Monday afternoon. King River: Minor flooding is estimated to have eased along the King River. No recent observations are available for the King River at Docker Rd Bridge. The river is estimated to have fallen below the minor flood level. The King River at Docker Rd Bridge is expected to remain below the minor flood level (3.70 m). Ovens River downstream of Rocky Point: Minor flooding is possible along the Ovens River around Wangaratta. The Ovens River at Wangaratta is currently at 11.77 metres and rising. The Ovens River at Wangaratta may peak near the minor flood level (11.90 m) Monday afternoon.
