Moderate flooding is possible at Charlton Town from late Thursday as upstream flows arrive. Rainfall continuing into early Wednesday morning has caused renewed rises upstream. Further renewed rises are possible as upstream flows move into the lower reaches of the catchment. Avoca River to Charlton Town: Moderate flooding is possible at Charlton Town. Minor flooding may develop at Yawong Weir. The Avoca River at Charlton Town is currently at 4.08 m and steady, with minor flooding. The Avoca River at Charlton Town may reach around the moderate flood level (5.90 m) late Thursday. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive. Avoca River downstream of Charlton Town: Minor flooding is occurring at Quambatook and may develop downstream of Charlton. The Avoca River at Quambatook is currently at 2.12 m and steady, with minor flooding. The Avoca River at Quambatook may remain above the minor flood level (2.00 m) during Wednesday and Thursday.
