MODERATE FLOODING CONTINUING AT WANGARATTA AND DOCKER ROAD BRIDGE
MINOR FLOODING EASING AT DOWNSTREAM OF LAKE BUFFALO
Moderate rainfall since Monday has caused significant river level rises and areas of minor to moderate flooding across the Ovens and King River catchments.
River levels along the King River at Docker Road Bridge peaked near the major flood level Friday evening and currently falling with moderate flooding.
Moderate flooding peaked along the Ovens River at Wangaratta.
Minor flooding is easing along the Buffalo River downstream of Lake Buffalo. Minor flooding has eased along the King River downstream of Lake William Hovell and along the Ovens River at Rocky Point.
Buffalo River:
Minor flooding is easing along the Buffalo River downstream of Lake Buffalo.
The Buffalo River at Lake Buffalo (Downstream) is currently at 3.20 m and falling, with minor flooding.
The Buffalo River at Lake Buffalo (Downstream) is expected to fall below the minor flood level (3.20 m) late Sunday afternoon.
Ovens River Bright to Rocky Point:
Minor flooding has eased along the Ovens River at Rocky Point.
The Ovens River at Rocky Point is currently at 3.11 m and falling, below the minor flood level.
The Ovens River at Rocky Point is expected to remain below the minor flood level (3.20 m).
King River:
Moderate flooding is easing along the King River.
The King River at Docker Rd Bridge is currently at 4.01 m and falling slowly, with moderate flooding.
The King River at Docker Rd Bridge may fall below the moderate flood level (3.95 m) Monday morning.
Ovens River downstream of Rocky Point:
Moderate flooding is occurring along the Ovens River at Wangaratta.
The Ovens River at Wangaratta peaked at 12.57 m around 3:00 pm Saturday 04 July, with moderate flooding. The Ovens River at Wangaratta is currently 12.53 m and falling slowly, with moderate flooding.
The Ovens River at Wangaratta is likely to remain above the moderate flood level (12.40 m) until Monday morning.
