Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, National Water Operations Moderate Flood Warning For The Loddon River Issued at 11:12 AM AEST on Thursday 13 August 2026 Flood Warning Number: 6 MODERATE FLOODING IS OCCURRING AT LODDON WEIR MINOR FLOODING IS POSSIBLE AT APPIN SOUTH DURING FRIDAY AND HAS EASED AT LAANECOORIE RESERVOIR (TW) Rainfall observed across the Loddon catchment over the weekend has resulted in river level rises across the catchment. Laanecoorie Reservoir is full and spilling. Loddon River Laanecoorie to Loddon Weir: Along the Loddon River at Laanecoorie Reservoir (TW) the river level has fallen below the minor flood level. The Loddon River at Laanecoorie Reservior (TW) is currently at 1.35 m and steady, below the minor flood level. The Loddon River at Laanecoorie Reservior (TW) is expected to remain below the minor flood level (1.50 m). Loddon River Loddon Weir to Kerang: Moderate flooding is occurring along the Loddon River at Loddon Weir (TW) and minor flooding is possible along the Loddon River at Appin South. The Loddon River at Appin South is currently at 0.63 m and rising, below the minor flood level. The Loddon River at Appin South may exceed the minor flood level (2.80 m) during Friday. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive. Flood Safety Advice: Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous. Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways. Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads. Check the ABC and local media for updates.
