Minor Flood Warning For The Seven And Castle Creeks

MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT EUROA AND POSSIBLE AT KIALLA WEST FROM SATURDAY MORNING
Since Monday, moderate rainfall has been recorded across the Seven and Castle Creeks catchment, resulting in creek level rises. Widespread rainfall is forecast to continue through to Friday, which may result in further creek level rises.
Minor flooding is occurring along the Seven Creeks at Euroa following a minor flood peak during Wednesday. Upstream at Strathbogie renewed minor flooding is occurring. Downstream at Kialla West minor flooding is possible from Saturday morning.
A Flood Watch is current for Parts of Gippsland, North East and Central Victoria.
Castle Creek:
River levels are elevated along the Castle Creek.
Seven Creeks to Euroa:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Seven Creeks at Strathbogie and Euroa.
The Seven Creeks at Euroa peaked at 3.37 m around 12:30 pm Wednesday, with minor flooding. The creek is currently at 2.84 m and steady, with minor flooding.
The Seven Creeks at Euroa is likely to remain above the minor flood level (2.50 m) till Friday afternoon. Further rises are possible with forecast rain.
Seven Creeks downstream of Euroa:
Minor flooding is possible at Kialla West.
The Seven Creeks at Kialla West is currently at 2.74 m and rising, below the minor flood level.
The Seven Creeks at Kialla West may reach around the minor flood level (4.50 m) Saturday morning.
