Minor Flood Warning For The Goulburn River

RENEWED MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT SEYMOUR THURSDAY MORNING
Moderate rainfall since Monday has caused river and creek level rises in the Goulburn River catchment. Widespread rainfall is forecast to continue through to Friday, which is likely to result in further and renewed rises and areas of flooding across the Goulburn River catchment.
A Flood Watch is current for Parts of North East and Central Victoria.
Yea River:
River levels are elevated along the Yea River. At Yea the river is around the minor flood level.
King Parrot Creek:
River levels are elevated along the King Parrot Creek.
Sunday Creek:
River levels are elevated along the Sunday Creek.
Goulburn River Lake Eildon to Seymour:
Renewed minor flooding is likely along the Goulburn River at Seymour.
The Goulburn River at Seymour peaked at 4.97 m around 01:15 am Wednesday 1 July, with minor flooding. The river is currently at 3.23 m and rising, below the minor flood level.
The Goulburn River at Seymour may exceed the minor flood level (3.80 m) Thursday morning. Further rises are possible with forecast rain.
Hughes Creek:
Renewed minor flooding is occurring along the Hughes Creek at Tarcombe Rd.
Flood Safety Advice:
Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
