Coolmunda Dam on the Macintyre Brook is spilling and river levels downstream at Inglewood Bridge are rising, with moderate flooding possible overnight Monday into Tuesday. This flood water is likely to reach Boggabilla and Goondiwindi from mid week, with minor flooding possible. Forecasts for the Macintyre River will be revised as upstream peaks are observed. Along the Weir River the flood peak is now approaching Giddi Giddi South. This flood water is likely to reach Talwood later in the week with moderate flooding possible. Peak forecasts for the Lower Weir River will be revised as upstream peaks are observed. River level rises have been observed along the Dumaresq River, with a below minor flood peak forecast to pass through Texas early Tuesday morning. Macintyre Brook: Moderate flooding is possible along the Macintyre Brook. The Macintyre Brook at Inglewood Bridge is currently at 4.45 m and rising, below the minor flood level. The Macintyre Brook at Inglewood Bridge is expected to exceed the minor flood level (5.00 m) late Monday evening, and may reach around the moderate flood level (9.00 m) overnight Monday into Tuesday. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive. Macintyre River downstream of Holdfast: Minor flooding is likely along the Macintyre River downstream of Holdfast. The Macintyre River at Boggabilla is currently at 1.09 m and steady, below the minor flood level. The Macintyre River at Boggabilla may reach around the minor flood level (5.00 m) overnight Tuesday into Wednesday. The Macintyre River at Goondiwindi is currently at 1.83 m and steady, below the minor flood level. The Macintyre River at Goondiwindi may reach around the minor flood level (4.00 m) overnight Tuesday into Wednesday. Weir River to Giddi Giddi South: Minor flooding is estimated to be occurring along the Yarrill Creek and the Weir River at Giddi Giddi South. Weir River downstream of Giddi Giddi South: Moderate flooding is possible along the Weir River at Talwood. No observations are currently available for the Weir River at Talwood. Based on the nearby automatic gauge, the river level is estimated to be below the minor flood level (3.00 m). The Weir River at Talwood may exceed the minor flood level (3.00 m) during Thursday.
