Rainfall has been particularly heavy across the Funnel Creek catchment and rapid river level rises have been observed. Along the Dawson River minor flooding is possible at Taroom, Theodore Weir and Baralaba from Monday morning. Along the Isaac River minor flooding is expected at Yatton from Monday morning with moderate flooding likely from Monday afternoon. Further rainfall is forecast for the remainder of Monday. Higher and earlier river level rises are possible, depending on the timing and intensity of rainfall. A Flood Watch is current for most of Queensland. A Severe Weather Warning for heavy rainfall is current for large parts of southeast Queensland, including parts of the Dawson River catchment. Dawson River to Theodore: Minor flooding is possible at Taroom and Theodore with further rises possible with forecast rain. The Dawson River at Taroom is currently at 1.50 m and rising, below the minor flood level. The Dawson River at Taroom may reach around the minor flood level (4.50 m) overnight Monday into Tuesday, with forecast rainfall. Further rises are possible. The Dawson River at Theodore Weir is currently at 6.13 m and steady, below the minor flood level. The Dawson River at Theodore Weir may reach around the minor flood level (8.00 m) Monday evening. Further rises are possible with forecast rain. Dawson River downstream of Theodore: Minor flooding is possible at Baralaba with further rises possible with forecast rain. No river level observation is currently available at Baralaba. However, based on the nearby gauge the river level at Baralaba is expected to be below the minor flood level and rising. The Dawson River at Baralaba may reach around the minor flood level (4.00 m) Monday morning. Further rises are possible with forecast rain. Connors and Isaac Rivers: Moderate flooding is possible at Yatton with further rises possible with forecast rain. The Isaac River at Yatton is currently at 5.00 m and rising, below the minor flood level. The Isaac River at Yatton is expected to exceed the minor flood level (7.50 m) Monday morning. The river is likely to reach around the moderate flood level (9.50 m) Monday afternoon. Further rises are possible with forecast rain.
