Initial Minor Flood Warning For The Connors And Isaac Rivers

MINOR FLOODING LIKELY AT YATTON OVERNIGHT MONDAY INTO TUESDAY
Moderate to heavy rainfall totals have been observed over the northeast part of the Fitzroy River Catchment since Monday, this has resulted in river and creek level rises along the Connors and Isaac Rivers where minor flooding is likely at Yatton overnight Monday into Tuesday.
Showers and possible heavy rainfall at times is forecast over the next few days which may cause further river and creek level rises. The situation is being closely monitored and warnings will be updated as required.
A Flood Watch is current for parts of the Burdekin and Proserpine catchments, and a Severe Weather Warning is current for parts of the North Tropical Coast, Tablelands, Herbert and Lower Burdekin, Northern Goldfields and Upper Flinders districts.
Connors and Isaac Rivers:
Minor flooding is likely along the Connors and Isaac Rivers.
The Isaac River at Yatton is currently at 2.85 metres and rising, below the minor flood level (7.5 m).
The Isaac River at Yatton is likely to reach the minor flood level (7.50 m) overnight Monday into Tuesday. Further rises are possible with forecast rainfall.
