Minor Flood Warning For The Maroochy And Noosa Rivers

MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT PALMVIEW, PICNIC POINT AND TEWANTIN OVERNIGHT SUNDAY INTO MONDAY
Development of bands of heavy to intense rainfall is possible during Sunday into Monday. This has the potential to cause dangerous and rapid river level rises along the Maroochy and Noosa Rivers.
The situation is being monitored closely, and this flood warning will be updated as required.
A Flood Watch is current for South East Queensland, Condamine and Border Rivers. A Severe Weather Warning is current for southeastern Queensland.
Maroochy River:
Minor flooding may occur along the Maroochy River.
The Maroochy River at Picnic Point is currently at 0.16 metres and falling with the tide, below the minor flood level (1.25 m).
With forecast rainfall, the river level along the Maroochy River at Picnic Point may reach the minor flood level (1.25 m) on high tides, overnight Sunday into Monday
Noosa River:
Minor flooding may occur along the Noosa River.
The Noosa River at Tewantin is currently at 0.52 metres and rising with the tide, below the minor flood level (1.00 m).
The Noosa River at Tewantin may reach the minor flood level (1.00 m) overnight Sunday into Monday on the high tide.
Mooloolah River:
Minor flooding may occur along the Mooloolah River.
The Mooloolah River at Palmview is currently at -0.03 metres and falling with the tide, below the minor flood level (4.96 m).
The Mooloolah River at Palmview may reach the minor flood level (4.96 m) Monday morning on the high tide associated with forecast rainfall.
