Initial Minor Flood Warning For The Upper Condamine River

MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT WARWICK MONDAY EVENING, PRATTEN AND TUMMAVILLE DURING TUESDAY
Moderate rainfall has been recorded in the Upper Condamine catchment Sunday into Monday which has caused river and creek level rises. Further moderate to locally heavy rainfall is possible during much of Monday, with further river and creek level rises likely to continue during Monday into Tuesday. Minor flooding is possible at Warwick during Monday evening, and Pratten and Tummaville during Tuesday.
The situation is being monitored closely, and this flood warning will be updated as required.
A Flood Watch is current for South East Queensland, Condamine and Border Rivers. A Severe Weather Warning is current for southeastern Queensland.
Condamine River to Warwick:
Minor flooding may occur along the Condamine River to Warwick. Moderate flooding is occurring at Murrays Bridge. Minor flooding is occurring at Killarney, Brosnans Barn, and Elbow Valley.
The Condamine River at Warwick is currently at 3.11 metres and rising, below the minor flood level.
The Condamine River at Warwick may reach around the minor flood level (5.00 metres) Monday evening. Further rises are possible with forecast rainfall.
Condamine River downstream of Warwick to Oakey Creek:
Minor flooding may occur along the Condamine River downstream of Warwick to Oakey Creek. Moderate flooding is occurring at Glengallan Creek. Minor flooding is occurring at Allora.
The Condamine River at Pratten is currently at 0.94 metres and rising, below the minor flood level.
The Condamine River at Pratten may reach around the minor flood level (5.50 metres) during Tuesday morning. Further rises are possible with forecast rainfall.
The Condamine River at Tummaville is currently at 1.22 metres and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Condamine River at Tummaville may reach around the minor flood level (5.00 metres) from Tuesday afternoon. Further rises are possible with forecast rainfall.
