MINOR FLOOD PEAK AT THALLON BRIDGE DURING TUESDAY AFTERNOON
Minor flooding has eased at Nindigully, with a minor peak likely at Thallon Bridge during Tuesday afternoon.
No significant rainfall has been observed in the 24 hours to 9:00 am Tuesday in the Moonie River catchment.
Showers and the chance of thunderstorms are forecast over the next few days which may cause further river level rises.
Moonie River downstream of Flinton:
Minor flooding is occurring at Thallon Bridge.
The Moonie River at Nindigully is currently at 2.15 metres and steady, below the minor flood level (2.20 m).
The Moonie River at Nindigully is expected to remain below the minor flood level (2.20 m) during Tuesday.
The Moonie River at Thallon Bridge is currently at 4.28 metres and steady, with minor flooding.
The Moonie River at Thallon Bridge is likely to peak near 4.30 metres Tuesday afternoon. The river level is likely to remain above the minor flood level (4.00 m) overnight Tuesday into Wednesday.
